Water is fun!

Yesterday was a gorgeous sunny Austin day so we took our busy little guy to play in the water fountains at Auditorium Shores. He was a bit cautious at first, but then he watched the bigger kids and really got the hang of it. This will so much fun in the hot summer!

I can use a spoon! (sort of)

Alexander is trying to feed himself with a spoon lately. Usually, he picks up a piece of food, puts it on the spoon (sometimes successfully) and then tries to put it in his mouth (more often, it ends up on his lap or the floor). But he actually got something in his mouth at the beginning of this video! Apparently, the strawberries are too delicious to waste on this whole spoon thing though - those go straight from fingers to mouth. :-)

1st birthday

Alexander had a great time at his birthday party yesterday! It was a beautiful Texas day - 80 degrees and sunny. There were a lot of little kiddos (mostly girls!) so we rented a moonwalk for the backyard. It was a huge hit with the shorties - and the adults liked the keg. :-) Alexander seemed to really know what to do with his chocolate cupcake. Yummy!

We still had the moonwalk the day after Alexander's party, so we played around in it again - despite the much colder weather. Madalyn thought we should keep it in our backyard permanently!
